Big Moss "The Natural" Putting Green — 6' x 10'

The Natural is Big Moss's offset-cup indoor putting green built to produce the one thing flat carpet putters never see at home — real, grain-driven breaking putts. Five regulation cups are positioned at staggered angles across a 6' x 10' tournament-grade surface, so every line you read is a different break, a different speed, and a different commitment stroke.

A reduced-diameter work-station cup sits at one end to tighten your aim and rebuild confidence on short putts, while the included Break Pads slide under the surface to simulate hundreds of terrain variations — uphill, downhill, side-slope, double-breakers — without ever leaving the room.

Big Moss The Natural 6'x10' indoor putting green with offset cups, stadium backstop, and break pads for practicing natural breaking putts at home

Why Serious Golfers Pick The Natural

  • Offset cup layout — five regulation cups positioned at staggered angles for true multi-line practice
  • Grain-driven natural breaks — putt the same line two ways and read two different breaks
  • Break Pads included — slide them under the surface to simulate hundreds of terrain variations
  • Reduced-diameter work-station cup — tightens your aim and builds short-putt confidence
  • High-density Removable Foundation — pull the pads out for dead-flat speed and stroke work
  • Wrinkle-free rubber backing — lays flat over hardwood, tile, or carpet straight out of the tube
  • Stadium Backstop — wraps the back edge and pins with golf tees to catch overcooked putts
  • Chipping mat + limited-flight balls — practice short chip-and-runs onto the green from a few feet back

Who The Natural Is Built For

The Natural is for the golfer who's tired of practicing straight putts on bedroom carpet and watching every read disappear the moment they get to the course. The offset cup positions and built-in grain force you to commit to a line and a pace on every stroke — left-to-right, right-to-left, uphill, downhill, double-break — without rearranging the green. Pull the Break Pads out for dead-flat speed control work. Slide them back in for tournament-style breaking putts. The 6' x 10' footprint fits a home office, basement, garage bay, or sim room, and the wrinkle-free rubber backing means you can roll it out on existing flooring without underlayment.

The Natural — Common Questions

What makes The Natural different from a flat indoor putting mat?+
Two things. First, the cup layout is offset — five regulation cups positioned at staggered angles across the green, so you're rarely putting the same line twice. Second, the surface is built with directional grain, so the ball reads break the way it would on a bentgrass green. A flat indoor mat gives you straight-line speed reps; The Natural gives you actual reads. If you want to practice committing to a break and trusting the line, this is the green for it.
How do the Break Pads work?+
The Break Pads are high-density inserts that slide underneath the playing surface to create slope. Different pad placements simulate different terrain — uphill, downhill, side-slope, even compound double-breakers. With the pads in, you're practicing real breaking putts. With them out, the surface lies dead flat for pure speed and stroke work. That switch between tournament break and flat speed reps in the same green is what makes it train differently than anything else at home.
What is the reduced-diameter cup for?+
It's a work-station cup smaller than a regulation hole. Putting to a tighter target raises the precision demand on your aim and stroke — when you take that focus back to a regulation 4.25-inch cup on the course, the hole looks bigger and short putts feel more makeable. Tour players use the same drill with quarters and dimes; the work-station cup builds it into the green.
Will it lay flat on carpet, or do I need a hard floor?+
It lays flat on either. The wrinkle-free rubber backing is designed to settle out on carpet, hardwood, tile, or low-pile flooring without curling at the edges. Roll it out, give it a day to relax, and it sits where you put it. The Stadium Backstop pins to the green with golf tees, so it stays anchored even if you're playing aggressive lag putts off the back edge.
Can I chip onto it?+
Yes — that's what the included chipping mat and limited-flight balls are for. Place the chipping mat a few feet behind the green, take a short wedge swing with one of the included low-flight balls, and practice landing and rolling out to a specific cup. It's a controlled way to work on short chip-and-runs indoors without denting drywall.
How much room do I need to set it up?+
You need a clear 6' x 10' footprint for the green itself, plus a few feet of standing room at the putting end and a foot or two behind the Stadium Backstop. A spare bedroom, finished basement, home office, garage bay, or simulator room all work. The green rolls down to a 72 × 12 × 12 inch tube when stored, so you can pack it away between sessions if needed.
