Big Moss "The TW Series" Putting Green

The Big Moss TW Series is a narrow 2-foot-wide indoor putting green with a cup at each end, so you can putt back and forth without resetting balls — one direction rolls down-grain at true-roll bent grass speed, the other rolls up-grain at a slower break-in pace. It's the most space-efficient way to put real grain feedback into a hallway, office, or narrow basement strip.

The Two-Way layout doubles your reps per minute compared to a single-cup green: putt to the down-grain cup, walk to the ball, putt back to the up-grain cup, repeat. Three lengths fit different hallway runs, and the included backstops, chipping balls, break pads, and chipping mat let you mix in short pitches without launching balls down the hall.

Big Moss TW Series Putting Green — 2-foot-wide two-way indoor putting green with cup at each end for back-and-forth practice

Why Golfers Pick The Big Moss TW Series

  • Two-way putting — cup at each end, putt back and forth without resetting
  • Down-grain True Roll cup — rolls at bent grass green stimp speed
  • Up-grain slower cup — practice firmer strokes into the grain
  • 2-foot-wide strip — fits hallways, narrow basements, and office runs
  • Three length options — 10 ft, 12 ft, or 15 ft for varying distances
  • Backstops included — both ends, so balls stop instead of rolling off
  • Chipping mat + limited-flight balls — mix in short pitch practice safely
  • Break pads included — slide under the surface to add custom breaks

Who The TW Series Fits

The TW Series is built for golfers who want serious putting reps in a footprint most greens won't fit — a hallway, a narrow office strip, or a slim basement wall. The two-cup back-and-forth layout means you double your strokes per session vs walking back to reset a single-cup green. The dual-grain build (one cup fast down-grain, one cup slower up-grain) is the same feedback you get on real bent grass: lag putts into the grain, aggressive line putts down it. Pick the 10-foot if you've got a short run, the 12-foot for a standard hallway, the 15-foot if you want lag distance reps. If you have wide-open floor space, look at a fuller green like The Original or Augusta instead.

Big Moss TW Series — Common Questions

What does "TW" or "Two Way" actually mean?+
It means there's a cup at each end of the green, so you can putt back and forth without walking back to reset. One cup is the down-grain True Roll side (fast, like a freshly cut bent grass green); the other is the up-grain side (slower, like putting into the grain). You get twice the reps per minute compared to a single-cup green, plus two different speeds of feedback.
Which length should I pick — 10', 12', or 15'?+
10 feet fits short hallways and offices. 12 feet is the most-bought length — it gives you enough distance to work on stroke tempo and lag without dominating a room. 15 feet is for golfers who want longer-distance reps and have a long basement wall or hallway to use. All three are 2 feet wide.
How fast does the down-grain cup roll?+
Big Moss True Roll down-grain rolls at bent grass tournament green speed — comparable to a stimp of around 11-12. The up-grain cup rolls noticeably slower, which simulates putting into the grain on a real green and forces a firmer stroke. That speed contrast is the whole point of the dual-grain design.
Can I add break to the green?+
Yes — break pads come included. Slide them under the surface anywhere along the length to create custom right-to-left or left-to-right breaks. Big Moss also sells Break Snakes separately for more complex contoured rolls.
Can I chip on it without launching balls down the hallway?+
Yes — the included chipping mat plus limited-flight chipping balls are designed for indoor short-pitch practice. The backstops at both ends catch balls so they don't roll off. Full wedge shots are not recommended on the TW indoor surface — for outdoor full-shot practice look at the Outdoor Target green instead.
How long does setup take?+
A few minutes. Roll the green out, place the backstops at each end, smooth out any wrinkles (the True Roll surface is wrinkle-resistant by design), and you're putting. No tools, no adhesive, no setup learning curve.
Will it lay flat on carpet?+
Yes — on hard floors and most low to medium-pile carpet. On thick shag the green may feel slightly soft underfoot; a thin board or foam layer underneath will firm it back up. The surface itself is built to resist wrinkles and creases even after long-term rolled storage.
